Family Dentist in McKinney, TX

Howdy Y’all!

I am Alekhya Patagarla DDS MHA, and my patients call me “Dr. I-LIKE-YA” because I love to give them comfort and add a tinge of humor to relieve any anxiety they might have about dentistry. I’m a very happy person and believe in the fact that every human has a right to stay healthy and happy.

I started my early education at a missionary school that helped me build a self-disciplined and focused approach to life. I finished my Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery (BDS) in India and worked for 5 years before moving to the United States.

While earning my Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) at Western Kentucky University, I was recognized for my active participation in community development and welfare programs while serving as a graduate assistant on a full scholarship. I then earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious University of Southern California (Go Trojans!) and further expanded my clinical expertise by completing a mini-residency in endodontics through IDEA.

I grew up with my grandparents, and they taught me a lot about being grateful and giving back to society. That’s why I’m full of passion to use my skills to serve patients of all ages.

Fun facts about me: When I'm not at the office, you'll usually find me playing ping pong with my husband, painting on canvas, or cheering on my two boys (ages 2 and 9). Much of our weekends are spent at my oldest son's badminton tournaments, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm also a professionally trained Indian classical dancer, and I'm always ready to dance any style, any time, 24/7!
